On Yelp 3 stars is decent. Consistent food, fresh, quick. Adequate seating. A little loud but a good option for lunch. It's good for kids because you can order exactly what they want.

I was craving a good sandwich, so I walked over to Potbelly's. I didn't have a long wait time at all for my sandwich. It was done pretty quickly, which surprised me based on other yelp reviews. The sandwich was delicious and hit the spot. Staff seemed very friendly, which is always a plus!

OK, MAYBE I've gotten used to the FREAKY FAST service at Jimmy John's ("Subs so fast you'll freak!") buuuuut... I think in an empty restaurant at 3:30p.m., even with toasting time, it should not take 10 minutes to make a sandwich! There was no sense of urgency for this guy to get me my sandwich any time before it got cold...I was ready to leap across the counter, shove him to the side and start adding on my toppings. Go take a rest, man...you are obviously working too hard back here. I've been here about a dozen times (When will I learn?) and I always have them shovel out a lot of that thick bread and still, I always feel like I'm eating a loaf of bread with a tiny bit of topping... One thing is good though (but standard at ALL Potbellys): the sugar cookie is soooo tasty. Slightly under-done and golden on the edges with extra sugar crystals on top...mmmmmm!

I love Potbelly and I love their Chicken Salad Salad BUT this location needs to learn how to get it right. I think they just opened, but it still does not excuse the poor service I received today. I walked in at a non-rush hour time. It was about 3:30 p.m. The person who made my salads appeared completely overwhelmed or annoyed. It's almost like having customers is a nuisance for them, He had the personality of a crouton, like the ones they put on your salad. How dare I come in and order salads from their menu! I ordered two Chicken Salad Salads and he got one right, but it kind of sucks when you have to come home and add our own ingredients to the other salad, because the guy making it forgot to include the provolone cheese. I know he knew how to make them, because he managed to put it in one. Had I known that I was ordering a partially made salad, I would have gone to Cosco for their chicken salad and made my own at home. The best Potbelly I have been to is on Taylor Street in Chicago. No matter how busy they get, they are always friendly and always get it right. I feel that whenever they make my salad or sandwich, they are making it as if it were for them. This is how it should be.

Was there today. Had the pizza sandwich on flat bread with Gardiner. It was okay. The customer service was good and attentive. They happened to be shooting a corporate training video at the moment when I was eating. The producer was nice enough to let us know what was going on so I told him my friends and I would keep it down being the next booth over, and I a media guy. He smiled and said 'don't worry about it.' I wish they had 3.5 stars or else I'd given them that. I typically do not eat at chain restaurants, but it was a 'going out with friends' thing.

I love Potbelly's but not the one at this location. The parking situation for this area sucks! Being hungry and driving in circles to find a parking spot is frustrating. If we weren't meeting someone, the time we wasted looking all over downtown Oak Park would've been a deal breaker. If it were just us, we'd have left and gone some place else to eat. Now I know why we meet our friends on the West side of Harlem and frequent Boston Market, Panera Bread or Noodles. By the time we got together, the mood shifted. It sucks we couldn't just enjoy a meal with our friend.

First of all, just want to say thank you to the manager(?) who bought the three of us lunch a couple weeks back because we were in uniform. That was incredibly gracious, and we appreciate it very much. Now, on to the food. In three visits, I tried the skinny mushroom sandwich, the turkey and swiss, and the chicken and cheddar. The only one I would do again is the turkey and swiss. The other two just didn't blow me away. The bread had been consistently tasty every time, and their bagged kettle chips go great with the sandwich. The restaurant is also clean, and sitting by the window is a perfect spot to people-watch. Will definitely be back when on that side of town.

The food isnt anything to write home about. But I have a soft spot for a place hiring local young people. Its like any other PotBelly but you have to admit the terrible parking situation makes it a little less desirable to just drop in. But if you are on foot or bicycle it is a great choice in downtown OP.

One of the few pot belly's that I have been to and it's pretty decent. The employees are kind. The atmosphere is friendly but a bit loud. I started out with three stars but I then decided to change it to four. Mainly because they hire young nice people and let local artist play their music at the location. Stuff like that just makes my heart warm. The food is always good. Generally an average place to have a simple lunch.

Just like every Potbelly's out there, yep. Yummy sandwiches! They open late so perfect place to come grab a bite when it's 9pm. Maybe it's the time we come but they normally dont have good soup options when we come :(

We like it. Wife and I had a couple salads last night. Nothing exotic just good food. Good location, clean, fast. Daughter had a dream bar for dessert. I stole a bite and it was incredible as usual. I think t his is a good addition to oak park - even if it is a chain. Been here a few times since they opened and it's reliable/.

Let me preface my review with a statement: I normally LOVE POTBELLY'S! But just NOT this location. Parking is atrocious, and delivery is next to non-existent. Seriously, who limits delivery hours 11-3pm when they are open until 10pm? Those two factors make this location not at all worth the aggravation.

The food at this location is great, as with any other Potbellys shop. My review is for the service at this particular location. I placed an order for delivery today at 2:15 and I'm still waiting for my food at 4pm. I placed the order online and everything went through at the time. When I called the store over an hour later to check on my food, they said it wasn't in their system but it only took them a minute to find the order. After finding it, they said they would still make it and send it over as soon as possible. They called again a half hour late because my payment didn't go through either. At no point did they offer to throw in a cookie or anything to compensate for the huge hassle of waiting 2 hours for a sandwich. This is the last time I order delivery through them. Here's hoping I get it!

Never had a problem at this location. Usually quick and delicious. Also cheap. Get the giardinara if you like spicy! Nice location, good for people watching.

Filthy dirty! My husband and I stopped in for a sandwich around noon today. When I ordered a coffee I was told I had to get one at the bakery next door. My husband went for coffees but when he tried to re-enter the restaurant he could not open glass doors with two cups in his hands. The lid fell off of one of cups and he almost got burned. Meanwhile I found a table in this nearly empty restaurant and began to notice that most of the tables were covered with dust and crumbs. The napkin holder on the table was covered with dust. And the floor was gross. The floor under two large tables near us was covered with crumbs and food particles, plus it was visibly dirty and dusty. Here they had just opened up for the day but the place was filthy. If this is what it looks like up front, imagine the back room. I loved my mediterranean sandwich but the lack of cleanliness in this place took my appetite away.

Blah, same shit as Quiznos. Went here with my Moms, just trying to find a sandwich/salad and Cosi closed up shop. I mean it wasn't bad, just chain shit. You know that one thing I do like about these places is that when you order the guy/girl shouts out "WHAT CAN I GET YOU SIR" and you humanize the relationship a little by saying "hey, hows it going man... so what do you like here?" Their whole vibe changes and they might even smile and get out for one moment of working for corporate shit america and realize they are not a robot and the people ordering are not robots. Oh yeah, the tuna wasn't bad.
